Select a Shift
Home > Clock-In Mode > Clock In > Regular Shift > Shift
On the clock-in page, today's shifts appear according to the schedule so the user (employee) can select one.
Show Overnight
Tap Show Overnight to view yesterday's shift. This is useful for users who work across midnight.
Photo
Tap Tap Here to Take a Photo and follow the instructions. The photo uploads to cloud storage automatically.
Before this feature can be used, the organization creator must subscribe to the Premium Storage plan to enable cloud photo uploads.
Skip
If Skip appears, the organization allows clock-in without selecting a shift, or the user has no schedule.
Skip can be disabled in
Management Mode > Organization > My Organization. After it is disabled, users (employees) must select a shift before clocking in.
Select a Clock-In Point
Home > Clock-In Mode > Clock In > Regular Shift > Shift > Clock-In Point
Users (employees) can select the location where they want to clock in.
Skip
If Skip appears, the organization allows users to clock in without selecting a clock-in point.

Start or End Work
Regular Shift
Home > Clock-In Mode > Clock In > Regular Shift > Shift > Clock-In Point > Start Work/End Work
On the clock-in page, select Regular Shift. Tap Start Work to clock in at the start of work, or End Work to clock out at the end of work.
Completed clock-ins can be viewed in
All Clock-In Records.
Overtime
Home > Clock-In Mode > Clock In > Overtime > Clock-In Point > Start Work/End Work
On the clock-in page, select Overtime. Tap Start Work to begin overtime, or End Work to finish overtime.
Completed clock-ins can be viewed in
All Clock-In Records. Use Regular Shift for your normal start and end times. If you work overtime after your regular shift ends, complete the regular-shift clock-in process first and then complete a separate overtime clock-in process. This lets the system distinguish regular work from overtime. If you do not clock in separately for overtime, SwipePoint may calculate your working hours incorrectly, which could affect payroll or related records.
Important Note
Reminder: If a user (employee) has not read an announcement, policy, or goal, or has not tapped I Agree for a policy or goal, the system prompts them again when they tap End Work. This helps ensure that the information has been read and acknowledged.
Start or End Work
Start/End Button Display Rules
SwipePoint remembers whether the user's (employee's) last action was Start Work or End Work. This helps maintain the expected sequence: after starting work, the next action should normally be ending work.
If a missed or incorrect clock-in causes SwipePoint to show the wrong action, follow these steps:
Open Clock-In Mode, tap Clock In, and then tap Regular Shift. Select the appropriate shift. If you do not have a specific shift, tap Skip.
On the screen that displays Start Work or End Work, tap More below the button. Select the work status that correctly reflects your current situation. This resets the next clock-in action to the correct status.
Clock-In Push Notifications
When a user clocks in, the system automatically sends a push notification to the relevant people. Notifications are sent immediately to the creator, the highest-level administrator, and other administrators in the same group so they can monitor clock-in activity.
Clock-In Notification Recipients
The system sends clock-in push notifications to:
| No. | Recipient |
|---|---|
| 1 | Creator |
| 2 | Highest-level administrator |
| 3 | Administrators in the same group |

Older Android versions may also require location permission to scan for nearby Bluetooth devices.
Q5: My phone is connected to Wi-Fi, but SwipePoint cannot find the Wi-Fi SSID. What should I do?
A: Precise Location may be turned off. On iPhone, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > SwipePoint and turn on Precise Location. On Android, go to Settings > Apps > SwipePoint > Permissions > Location and turn on Use precise location.

To use location-based methods, select Apple menu > System Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services, then enable Location Services and SwipePoint's permission. SwipePoint does not currently support clock-in directly on a Windows PC.
Q7: How do I choose between Regular Shift and Overtime?
A: Select Regular Shift or Overtime on the clock-in page. Depending on the clock-in point settings, Send My GPS Location may be required or optional. You can also enter a note related to the clock-in.
Q8: How do I select a shift for a regular clock-in?
A: The clock-in page displays today's shifts according to the schedule. Tap Show Overnight to view yesterday's shift when working across midnight. If photo clock-in is enabled, tap Tap Here to Take a Photo; the organization must subscribe to a Storage plan. If Skip appears, the organization allows users to clock in without selecting a shift, or the user has no schedule. Administrators can disable Skip in Management Mode.
Q9: Who receives a notification after I clock in?
A: The system sends a push notification to the creator, the highest-level administrator, and other administrators in the same group. These notifications provide immediate, traceable clock-in updates.
Q10: Why can't I clock in?
A: You may be outside the allowed GPS range, Location Services may be off, or the network connection may be unstable. You may also be outside the clock-in time allowed by the schedule. For NFC clock-in, make sure NFC is enabled, the NFC card is readable, and the phone's NFC sensing area is aligned correctly.
Q11: Can I clock in with a PC emulator?
A: Yes. You may install SwipePoint in an Android emulator such as NoxPlayer and sign in. On a Windows PC with an emulator, only Button Clock-In is supported; other restrictions and photo clock-in are not supported.
Q12: Do I need a separate clock-in for overtime?
A: Yes. Use Regular Shift for normal start and end times. If you work overtime after the regular shift ends, complete the regular-shift clock-in process first and then complete a separate overtime clock-in process. Otherwise, SwipePoint may not identify the overtime period correctly, which can affect working-hour statistics, payroll calculations, and related records.
