Overtime

Home > Clock-in Mode > Clock-in > Overtime

The user (employee) can tap Clock-in on the Home screen of Clock-in Mode, then select Overtime to perform an overtime clock-in.

Send My GPS Location

Depending on the clock-in point settings, the system will either require submission of the employee’s GPS location or allow the employee to choose whether to send their location.

If the employee cannot disable it, this means the administrator has enforced mandatory location submission.

Notes

Here the employee can enter any remarks or information related to this clock-in.

Select Clock-in Point

Home > Clock-in Mode > Clock-in > Overtime > Clock-in Point

The user (employee) can tap Clock-in on the Home screen of Clock-in Mode, then select the desired clock-in location here.

Skip

If Skip appears, it means the organization allows employees to clock in without selecting a point.

The Skip feature can be disabled under Management Mode > Organization > My Organization. Once disabled, employees must select a clock-in point to clock in.

Start or End Work

Overtime

Home > Clock-in Mode > Clock-in > Overtime > Clock-in Point > Start Work / End Work

The user (employee) can tap Clock-in on the Home screen of Clock-in Mode, then at the Start Work / End Work button to start or end overtime clock-in.

After clock-in completes, records can be viewed under All Clock-in Records. If you normally use the Regular Shift clock-in feature, please choose Regular Shift. Once your regular shift ends, if you need to work extra hours, be sure to complete the regular shift clock-in first before performing the overtime clock-in. This ensures the system clearly distinguishes between regular and overtime hours. If you do not do a separate overtime clock-in, SwipePoint cannot correctly identify your overtime status, which may lead to inaccurate work-hour statistics and affect salary calculations or other records. To protect the accuracy of your hours and pay, please follow the above procedure step by step to record overtime, ensuring smooth subsequent management processes.

Reminders

Reminder: If the employee has not read the announcements, policies, or goals, or has not tapped I Agree for any of them, the system will prompt them again when tapping End Work, to ensure clarity and confirmation of all communications.

Start or End Work

Clock-in Button Display Rules

SwipePoint remembers whether the employee’s last clock-in was a Clock-in or Clock-out. This ensures the next clock-in action makes sense (e.g., after a Clock-in, the next action should be a Clock-out).

If an employee accidentally misses or selects the wrong option, causing an incorrect record, they can correct it as follows:

  1. Enter Clock-in Mode in the SwipePoint app.
  2. Tap Clock-in, then choose Overtime.
  3. On the Start Work / End Work screen, tap More.
  4. Select the correct work status to adjust the record back to the accurate state.

Clock-in Push Notifications

When an employee clocks in or out, the system automatically sends a push notification to inform relevant personnel. These notifications are sent in real time to the creator, the top-level administrator, and other administrators in the same group, ensuring transparency and traceability of clock-in activities.

Notification Recipients

When an employee clocks in or out, the system pushes notifications to the following roles:

No. Notification Recipient
1 Creator
2 Top-Level Administrator
3 Group Administrators

Overtime Application

Home > Clock-in Mode > My Requests > Overtime Application

The user (employee) can tap My Requests on the Home screen of Clock-in Mode, then choose Overtime Application to submit one or multiple overtime requests, which await approval by the reviewer.

If this feature is unavailable, it means the administrator has disabled it.

Note: Currently, overtime applications are not integrated with the shift schedule system, so approved overtime will not appear on the schedule. There is no enforced order between clock-in and application; employees may clock in first and apply later. Administrators should announce the company’s preferred process and remind employees to comply.

Cancel Overtime Application

Home > Clock-in Mode > My Requests > Overtime Application > Overtime Application Records

The user (employee) can tap My Requests on the Home screen of Clock-in Mode, then select an overtime application record to cancel any pending request that has not yet been reviewed.
